1/23 - Barcelona

I left my flat around 9PM Sunday night and I hung out with 4 of my friends before leaving for the bus.  We watched the documentary Project Nim.  Then with 3 of my friends we caught a bus at 2 AM to go to Gatwick airport. Around 6:30 AM we caught a flight to Barcelona, which means we ended up not sleeping at all.

I'm not quite sure how we did it, but when we arrived we ended up walking around Barcelona for 9 hours before we crawled back to our very nice hotel to sleep. We first went to a beach, Park Guell, and then the Sagrada Familia (cathedral).  I was a little disappointed in the food.  I guess most residents eat in their homes so there weren't a lot of restaurants for us to choose to from. So the first day we had sandwiches, hot dogs, and sangrias.  It didn't feel like Spanish food.  We ended up falling asleep at 7:30PM and then slept for 12 hours. Best sleep of my life.  Here are some pictures:

We got a whole row to ourselves on the plane so we tried to squeeze in a nap. The total air time was only 1.5 hours.
