Change.org

I don't normally update you with all of the many petitions to sign to make the world a better place, but this one touched my heart and I want to share it with you so that hopefully we can get enough signatures to save the endangered Sumatran orangutans.

The devastating peat fires burning in Ache, Sumatra – which could conceivably kill most of the remaining crucially endangered Sumatran orangutans – have prompted a petition calling for a halt to the destruction that is being delivered to Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and a host of national and regional government officials. For more information, visit http://www.theacehglobe.com/2012/03/indonesian-president-being-petitioned.html.

The Peat Swamp fire.  Not only is it killing the Sumatran orangutans, but it is also increasing the world level of Carbon Dioxide.

Sign the petition here and tell all of your friends.
