The tradition in Greece for Easter is to go to church with lit candles around 11:30-midnight the night before (Saturday). So we decided to participate as well!
They fast (from meat) for the whole week and then after they go to church everyone goes to eat meat! The restaurants were packed. That's when we realized the reason for the high price in seafood and all of the vegetarian menus. There were also a ton of fireworks! It was a pretty cool tradition to witness.

We also tried Ouzo, the Greek alcoholic drink, which tastes like black liquorice. blah.
