I'm back! It took longer than expected mostly because I couldn't remember my OWN blog website :)
I have now saved my blog, and yours, in a folder so I can get to it easier!
What's new with me. I'm currently working at the Sedgwick County Zoo with the South American animals. It is so great to wake up and work with animals that most people have never even seen before. I am still looking for that perfect primate research job, that pays money. Do you find it weird that the first thing I write after my 'what's new' statement is about my job. I wonder why in our culture our 'job' is what defines our success in life. Let me start over.
What's new with me. I recently bought a bicycle! I haven't ridden one for YEARS and it feels refreshing to ride the bike to Dillons, grocery store, to pick up brownie mix instead of wasting gas and driving. The weather is perfect for cycling. My first long ride, ~2 hours, I wiped out. I walked away a bit nervous afterwards and with a sore ankle, but I've learned that it is quite hard to get out of the section between the paved sidewalk and the grass. Other news, I am revamping my room and plan to repaint my dresser that my Great Grandpa made, no pressure! I also plan to repaint my headboard to spice up the dungeon. My colors are black, dark purple, and canvas so I need some brights in my life. I'm very excited for fall and have even planned dates for pumpkin pickings and carvings. I look forward to taco soup and hot tea.
Future Trips. I plan to visit my dear friend Shan in Dallas this fall. It is nice living in Kansas during the holidays because I don't have to travel long distances to see my close family and friends. Next year I hope to visit Mexico and Asia.
I think that's all for now. I'm thinking of revamping this blog to give it a purpose and making it more interesting so stay tuned! Here's a picture for funnsies:
