I love the beginning of weeks because I'm able to put my control-freak-OCD-planning-committee brain to work. I always create a bunch of lists: budget, meal plan, chapters to read (mostly for school textbooks), week day birthdays, assignments due, and KSU activities. I don't always follow or check off the lists, but come Wednesday it is nice to see how far behind I am on my goals.
This week I had a big test on Wednesday so my other class lists got put in the Bunsen burner. After every test I always feel like I must reward myself so I had a spa day. I used my favorite peppermint face mask from Lush, painted my nails OPI Lincoln Park After Dark (fall!), made hot tea, and sat down to watch Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs II. Don't ask me why I chose that movie. I like animations, but most of the time somebody has to talk me into watching one. I enjoy thrillers or romantic comedies. Anyways, this movie was on Netflix and I'm glad I watched it. It actually made me LOL a few times.
My partner in crime had a few interviews this week for internships this summer (2015 obv.) so he had more of a 'run to work - come home change - run to school - come home change clothes - interview - dinner with interviewers - sleep - interview at 7:30am' ...kind of week. I envy that he is a great interviewee. If I was in his position I would have spent hours reading everything from 'Interviews for Dummies' to resume self help books. I probably would have had diarrhea or constipation or even worse, zits. He just randomly walks in, finds out they are doing interviews for grain science, and then chats up the boss men/ladies. They then ask him personally to go out to Wahoo for a few drinks. Way to go stud! He should find out results by next week.
This weekend I'm looking forward to checking out the Konza Prairie. You know, I've lived here for 5 years and I have never visited the Konza...well at least from what I can remember. My ecology professor works out there and mentioned they are having a Visitors Day. You can do anything from hiking the trail to taking a tractor out to see the bison. I'm quite stoked.
Pictures.....I didn't take any pictures this week, but here is a 'pound sign flashback friday' one:
Obsessions:
Entertainment: Vampire Diaries (season 4) ... almost caught up on Netflix :)
Mind: Lumosity brain games
Songs: anything in French (check out: Papaoutai)
