SO...as soon as we set up camp and Tim lets me borrow his tent we get the go ahead that we can return to our own camp sites (aka Petriky). :) You will really have to 'go with the flow' out here.
Our supervisor arrived and we are all very happy. He is coming with me to Petriky to help me identify some species. We saw 1 Avahi which nobody has really ever seen before in Petriky - so that's pretty cool. Unfortunately, the locals probably ate it :(
I'll keep you updated, but it sounds like I'll go to Petriky and then possibly come back to Mandena soon after. I want to stay in Mandena because there is a Park close by with many lemurs that I want to visit since I can't go to Berenty right now. Did I mention that there are crocodiles in Mandena :) I like this threat, way more than robbers. There are also bamboo lemurs, hapalemurs, one ring-tailed lemur, microcebus, and chierogaleus. AND a bird that eats bird. I think I'm just excited for new things. I know Petriky pretty well and may be a bit bored of it :)
