Last weekend was spent studying for my first 4 exams and spending quality time with a fellow kite flyer. We toured our old sorority house, toured the renovated recreation center, went to a Lindsey Sterling concert, had delicious seafood from Wahoo, and some nice cold beers. On Sunday we started the day off with brunch at Coco Bolos - which I didn't even knew existed! It was also yummy. Chorizo and eggs are my fav. Then I spent the week working out at the rec and studying/doing homework.
Thursday was another mini sorority reunion and game day. Sadly we lost, but I was able to watch the game in the ville and got free shots and tshirts! We also saw a celebrity....Eric Stonestreet at Wahoo. We decided not to bother him by way of asking for a picture because he looked like he wanted to be alone. He was with his blonde girlfriend and another man glued to his cell phone screen.
Friday was date night at McCain. We attended the Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson show. It was hilarious. It started off with the Kstate Band welcoming them on stage.
Jesse then described his life growing up as a pale skinned ginger in New Mexico forcing his move to New York. He was casted into the role of Mitchell before Eric. Eric described his life growing up in Kansas City and his experience at Kstate getting his sociology role and his first acting experience in the KSU theater. He then moved to LA and his friend was auditioning for the role of Cameron when Eric decided he wanted to as well...and got it! It turns out auditions are very hard and there are many before they actually place you. Before Modern Family Jesse said he was making $5/day for acting. Then they asked the audiences for questions. Some ranged from "How do we become an actor?" to "If you two are a couple on the show who is on top and who is on bottom?" - that one got the most laughs and of course they both moved onto another question to avoid answering. Rumor has it that they hit the ville afterwards along with a fraternity ATO (on Twitter). I didn't get to see them out Saturday night :( BUT Jesse is freaking sweet and everything that you would imagine him to be.
Saturday was also pretty fun. We went to Aggieville's Birthday celebration in the ville. We got free Tallgrass beer, a mac n cheese grilled cheese, and even hit up the market. Lance was interviewed by someone asking about the fair. We didn't go back out that night, but there was a huge donut birthday cake!
This week's obsessions:
Entertainment: Aggieville
Exercise: elliptical at the rec
Reading: Ecology second edition
Outdoor Activity: working on garden- TONS of Broccoli!
